Join us in person on the beautiful campus of Shore Country Day School on Boston’s northshore. We will spend the day together exploring the rapid evolution of AI and the significant impact it is creating on education, teaching and learning, and a student’s experience.
To successfully and confidently navigate both the technology and the impact on education, this workshop will help participants to develop a foundational understanding of AI that allows for informed decision making about the role that AI can play in the classroom.
Amid the uncertainty of AI, this hands-on workshop is designed for educators that are looking to enhance their understanding and ability to meaningfully manipulate the technology to improve their instruction and the classroom experience for their students.
Key Ideas & Concepts
Foundational AI Literacy & Use: Understanding the behavior and nature of generative AI and strengthening our ability to engage with and manipulate the technology.
Educator Use of AI: Leveraging AI to solve existing classroom challenges such as:
Unit Redesign / Project Design / Lesson Plan Building
Student use of AI: Designing customized prompts for student use or structured generative AI environments that maintain academic integrity and foster meaningful student use.
Moving Forward: Establishing a framework for AI use now and moving forward and exploring the opportunity to redesign assessment in the age of generative AI
Who Should Attend
Educators that have started experimenting with the technology but want hands-on time to truly explore, understand, and develop enhanced awareness of both the challenges and opportunities presented by generative AI on teaching and learning.
